I have been "Count Cross Stitching" for a long time now and I still enjoy it.

The problem is when you have been doing it as long as I have, you have a tendency to do bigger projects that take longer to finish. And when that happens you get tired of it real quick.

Granted they are pretty when your done, but what a pain the the you know what to keep on with the same project for a year or two.  It gets boring.

This is the one that I am kind of working on now and that I have been working on for a while.  It is on a scroll so that the background material don't get dirty and they don't get the ring or fold lines in them.  Plus it is easier to do hands free since it connects to my cross stitch stand which me and a friend made a long time ago.  This pattern has about 10 different ones that match it and they are all about the older style dresses that they use to wear.

This one is finished and it is a lot smaller than the one on top.

I did this one a while back and need to get it framed but it took about a year to do because you had to separate the thread and put different colors together.  It was fun and I plan to do another one that is a dragon around a castle with a molt around the castle.  But only after I get the first one done

This one I did in 1989, while still pregnant with my son.  I believe that I was about 7 months pregnant and wanted to give him something special.

This one I made for him after he started to walk.  His hand prints are on the bottom.

FYI:  Almost everything out here is crafts.  All kinds of beads, and other things but it is very hard to find DMC floss here and the ones that do have it, the price is really high.  So make sure if you cross stitch in any form that you bring at least two of each color with you!
