Some people believe in home schooling their kids and some don't.  I happen to be one that believes there is a time when you should home school.  That time is now for my son.

We know that the schools in Alice Springs are not comparable to the United States and it would be really hard on my son to attend these classes.

First off, the schools here put sports above all else!  In the States it is the other way around.  You have to earn the privilege to be in sports.

In stead of learning certain types of math each year.  They teach a little bit of everything every year.  So they don't get much out of the class.  It is more of a jumbled mess.

They don't teach American history and spelling is different.  Tire is spelled tyre.

But thank goodness I did do some checking when we found out that we were coming to Alice Springs because if I had not then Shane would be behind in school.
